JKS Career is looking for a Manager/Freight Forwarder to Alpha Projects & Logistics

We are Alpha Projects & Logistics, and our general project forwarding business is a young and well-established international organization with offices in Denmark, Holland, Italy and Dubai.
Based on our clients’ needs and demands, we take great pride in providing customized project forwarding solutions combined with first class services.

THE JOB
Located in the center of Copenhagen, and with reference to the CEO, you will lead and motivate the local team of freight forwarders and administrative functions, and be a part of the international management team.
On a daily basis you will be in contact with colleagues, management team, stakeholders and clients across the globe, ensuring communications, deadlines, services, general project forwarding etc. accordingly.
You will be playing a key role, launching new initiatives and developing the business. A few weeks travel a year is expected in this role.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and develop the team in DK
• Develop existing and new processes
• Responsible for customer portfolio
• Manage general project forwarding
• Sales and purchase of services

QUALIFICATIONS
You are educated freight forwarder / shipping assistant or the like, and have more than 10 years’ experience from the shipping industry; you have obtained a solid knowledge on freight forwarding processes, mode of transport and customs regulations.
You have experience with people management and developing processes. It is an advantage if you have experience with general project forwarding.

• Excellent problem solving skills
• Posses strong people management skills
• Good verbal/written communication skills in English are essential
